Introduction to the WQX Data Upload Tutorial Videos

This 8 minute introductory video overviews the full process and outlines the structure of the guidance.

1. Prepare for EDD Development (EDD = Electronic Data Deliverable)

  1. Ensure that you have all field datasheets compiled and that you have all lab reports in EDD (Electronic Data Deliverable) and PDF format. This 7 minute video overviews what to look for as you compile your files from the lab.
  2. This 7 minute video overviews the DEQ resources, how they are laid out, and how to use them.

2. EDD Development

  1. This 7 minute video walks through filling out the Stations worksheet in the WQX EDD.

Tips and Tricks

This 5-min video shows how to extract a date from a comment field with Excel formulas.

Note that you can adjust the playback speed of the videos by clicking the “1x” button below the video. So, in addition to pausing videos as you complete steps in the process, you can also slow the play speed if that is useful. Similarly, if you think you already feel comfortable with data upload but want a quick refresher, consider increasing the play speed for some of the longer videos.
