How do you participate?
1. Pick up your well testing kit between August 24th and September 4th at:
Park County Extension Office
8am - 5pm
222 South B Street, Livingston
50 kits available on a first come first serve basis
2. Return your well water sample on Wednesday September 9th
to the location above between 7:00 AM and 12:30 PM
Testing Costs
- $125 per participant (save more than $265)
- Cash or check only
Why should you test your well water?
- Water quality from private wells is not regulated, and is rarely tested
- The screening is a comprehensive well water panel
- Common well water contaminants in Montana include:
- Arsenic
- Lead
- Copper
- Uranium
- Nitrate
- Bacteria (E. coli and total coliform)
List of parameters samples will be analyzed for:
Health Related: Antimony, Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, E-Coli Bacteria, Fluoride, Iron, Lead, Manganese, Molybdenum, Nickel, Nitrate+Nitrite, Selenium, Strontium, Thallium, Total Coliform Bacteria, Uranium, Zinc
Non-health related: Aluminum, Calcium, Chloride, Conductivity, Magnesium, pH, Potassium, Sodium, Sulfate, Sulfur
Attend a Public Presentation on the Results
